The Super Bowl promises the best ads of the year, and this time around, H&M plans to debut a revealing new David Beckham-in-his-undies commerical. According to a just-sent press release, the soccer star filmed two versions of the "action-packed spot," each with a different ending; fans will be able to vote on which version they'd like to see by going to hm.com.
The Swedish retailer isn't just betting on Beckham's abs, though: they've also created a commercial that will be shoppable through your TV set. As ABC News explains, when the commercial pops up, it will share screen space with a shoppable menu. Viewers can then use their remotes to browse and buy during the ad spot. The technology will only work on Samsung Smart TVs, but the implications are clear. With this type of integration, any commercial or television show can turn into an infomercial of sorts where purchases are a mere remote click away.
