Zosia Mamet's character on Girls, Shoshanna Shapiro, is known for her kooky, elaborate updos such as strangely-positioned buns, braids and ponytails. But in real life, Mamet is much more low-key. "Having your hair super tight with a ton of pins after eight hours? I get headaches," she told Byrdie about her on-screen looks. "You just want to rip your head off."
Mamet recently went from a long-wavy look to an above-the-shoulders crop courtesy of her hairstylist Alex Polillo. As she explained, "I've wanted to cut my hair for a really long time. I felt really inspired and just decided to do it." Her trend-loving alter-ego would probably approve, though will certainly limit her bonkers on-screen looks.
