Russia's dogged and strange anti-homosexuality public policy has had perhaps a different impact than was intended: It's all that anyone wants to discuss, especially in light of the upcoming Sochi Games. The most recent news on the subject, for instance, comes from the mayor of Sochi, who told the BBC that no gay people resided in the city. "We don't have them in our town," he said. When pressed, he said, "I'm not sure, I don't bloody know them."
Taking these comments into account, Saturday Night Live imagined a world where heterosexual male figure skating is a thing. What would the men wear? What type of tricks would they perform? The answers are, respectively: cargo pants and a sports jersey; upskirt shots and falling and crawling around on the ice. Enjoy.
