Zooey Deschanel, New Girl star and budding designer, has landed the March cover of Lucky magazine. Despite potential synergies, she is not wearing To Tommy, From Zooey in the shot (the credits go to Derek Lam)—though the collaboration is mentioned in the accompanying article. "I've always wanted to design my own clothes, and it was important that they'd be affordable. I didn't want to exclude anyone. The dresses are really fun," she said.
Other fashion facts about Deschanel shared in the piece: she believes super-short cut-offs have an age limit ("Daisy Dukes are not for people over 30"); she hates the color chartreuse; she doesn't like '80s silhouettes; and her favorite jeans are by AG, Paige and J Brand. Thoughts about her cover look, anyone?
