The Deep South received a few inches of snow yesterday and 16-hour traffic jams, abandon car pile-ups and general mayhem resulted, especially in Atlanta. Businesses including Home Depot, CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, churches and a handful of malls have opened their doors, floors and, in Home Depot's case, lawn chairs for people to get out of the cold and even sleep.
