Everyone is well aware that Michelle Obama wore Paris-based designer Azzedine Alaïa to the State of the Union address last night (these things get tele-zapped straight into people's collective conscious practically before they happen). And nearly as many people immediately made the connection between the conservative, forest green frock and the single greatest character to come out of the mid-'90s, Clueless' Cher Horowitz. Thanks to the mugging scene in which Cher is wearing a short, red, tight dress by the same designer and the natural born proclivity in most children of the '90s to use any excuse to quote the movie, Twitter was swamped by one line.
