Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

According to the rumor mill churned by WWD, Diane von Furstenberg and Michael Kors will defect The Theatre at Lincoln Center for Spring Studios at 50 Varick Street in Tribeca. DVF will show at Spring Studios on February 9 at 5pm and Kors will show in the same spot on February 12 at 10am. That is awfully specific for mere speculation, but neither DVF's nor Kors' camp will comment.

Should this rumor prove true, it's bad news for Fashion Week as we know it. Despite massive adjustments promised by IMG, which runs Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, a.k.a. New York Fashion Week, at Lincoln Center, these two heavyweights represent an industry-wide shift downtown—especially considering Vera Wang has confirmed her own move (to Dia Center for the Arts in Chelsea on February 11 at 11am) and Carolina Herrera has hinted at a new venue herself.
