Uniqlo has announced its next round of store openings. The Japanese retailer will debut five US outposts this spring/summer, and while they still haven't tackled the midwest or LA, they are expanding to new markets like the suburbs of Philadelphia. The list of confirmed locations is as follows:
King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, PABut that's not all. Per a press release, Uniqlo execs have also confirmed that stores are in the works for Boston, Los Angeles-Southern California and downtown Philly.
Stamford Town Center in Stamford, CT
Serramonte Center in Daly City, CA
Sunvalley Shopping Center in Concord, CA
Great Mall of the Bay Area in Milpitas, CA
The exact wording, per a press release, "In the fall of 2014, UNIQLO plans to debut its innovative, high-quality clothing in new markets including downtown Philadelphia, Boston and Los Angeles-Southern California. Details about these new markets will be announced at a later date. To staff these new stores, UNIQLO plans to hire and train several hundred full-time and part-time employees at all levels."
Uniqlo currently has 17 stateside stores clustered tightly in the areas of New York/New Jersey, Connecticut and San Francisco/NorCal. No plans are in place yet for Chicago or Texas.
