Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Shopping site Farfetch wants to play tour guide for your next vacation. Their new Discover iPhone app maps out over 300 independent boutiques around the world, accompanied by recommendations from store owners and local tastemakers on the best places to eat, drink, stay, explore.
You'll be able to navigate the shopping scene in your chosen destination with integration from Google Maps, but the best part is that the boutique owners have created trip itineraries that are accessible offline, meaning there's a way out of those international data charges.
