Beyoncé's Bangs Are Best Paired With Art

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Blue Ivy Beyoncé cut herself some hipster bangs earlier this week, reserving her right to upload artsy images that make little sense along with her regular Instagram fair (selfies). Photoshopped vacation pics and snaps in front of private planes are a thing of Bey's Instagram past. Ambiguous sculptures, black and white collages, and a 1967 magazine cover of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton are what embody Beyoncé now. Brace yourself for a Beyoncé /Jay Z mega-mansion coming to a Bushwick near you.
