Thank ye gods, for Benedict Cumberbatch has started filming the BBC drama The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses, in which he plays Richard III (no premiere date yet). Nothing like Bennie in 16th Century period dress to light a fire under a typical Thursday.
The three-part Shakespearean drama has also cast big names like Judi Dench, Hugh Bonneville, and Andrew Scott, who plays Cumberbatch's Sherlock arch enemy, Moriarty. And yet, it's somehow hard to believe that even a great supporting cast and three whole episodes of Cumberbatch in capes riding horses can sate the appetite for this man in period dress. Somebody make up a Downton Abbey part for him. And every other British actor is in Game of Thrones. Why not Cumberbatch?
