BlogHer surveyed over 1,500 women for its annual Women and Social Media Study to get a better idea on what kind of blog content women are looking to find online and, despite Chiara Ferragni's signs of imminent world domination, style content ranked pretty far down the list.
A sample of BlogHer's audience (which tops 100 million monthly readers) ranked their favorite content on blogs and the survey revealed that most women want to read about food. 75% of women surveyed were interested in reading recipes found on blogs, 61% of women were looking for health tips; 53% were looking for content related to the home, gardening, or DIY project; and 52% were looking for style tips. The only type of content that ranked lower was entertainment reviews and advice, which came in at 49%.
