Chelsea Handler Invokes Putin and Toplesses to Challenge Instagram Sexism

With the side-by-side above, comedian and former talk show host Chelsea Handler has joined the Free the Nipple crusade (simple explainer right here) against Instagram's community guidelines that ban uncovered female breasts on its platform.

Before it got taken down, the 'gram was captioned, "If a man posts a photo of his nipples, it's ok, but not a woman? Are we in 1825?" Handler's second attempt posting the same image read, "If Instagram takes this down again, you're saying Vladimir Putin has more 1st amendment rights than me. Talk to your bosses." It also got taken down. Instagram: So, so many. Lady nipples: 0. Putin: 2.
