Forbes reports that Into The Gloss's Emily Weiss has secured an $8.4 million Series A round of funding for the site's new beauty product line Glossier. The funding will be used to invest in new technology and to scale, and is in addition to Into The Gloss's early $2 million round in 2013.
Investors include Bonobos's Andy Dunn and Manzanita Capital, whose portfolio includes beauty brands like Diptyque, Lipstick Queen, and Space.NK. Weiss told Forbes that Glossier's next product collection will launch in early 2015 and that Glossier is staffing up with key hires including a head of marketing.
