Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Anthropologie is making it so, so easy for your sweet-but-clueless significant other to get you exactly what you want this holiday season. The retailer just launched an online registry this fall, and their new "Hint Hint, Honey" program really takes the guesswork out of gift shopping.

Here's how it works: Anthro customers can create a holiday registry online and provide the company with the gift-giver's contact information. Then Anthropologie invites said gift-giver to an event where associates will be on hand to help find items on the wish list. After he or she blindly buys whatever's on your list, the associates can suggest a few additional surprises.

Select stores across the country will host the holiday registry events, and they'll offer complimentary gift wraping and refreshments as well. Even the timing is perfect for procrastinators: most of the shopping events will be during the week before Christmas.
