Taylor Swift Gives Lucky the Exclusive on Her Belly Button

For its December/January issue, Lucky magazine landed huge star/cover girl of the moment Taylor Swift. Lucky declares Swift a "fashion icon" and she looks like a rock and roll princess on the cover, dressed in a moto leather jacket and little black dress. The issue hits newsstands next week.

Lucky gets a scoop on T. Swift that not even Time magazine and Bloomberg Businessweek could land: she addresses the intense Internet speculation about why she never shows her belly button.

Fans have wondered if her belly button is pierced or an outie or if she doesn't have one at all since her crop tops are fairly demure. Swift admits that she hasn't really gone all in on the trend. She tells Lucky: "When you start showing your belly button then you're really committing to the midriff thing. I only partially commit to the midriff thing—you're only seeing lower rib cage."

"I want that to be a mystery. As far as anyone knows based on my public appearances, they haven't seen evidence of a belly button. It could be pierced. They have no idea. If I'm going to get some sort of massive tattoo, it's going to be right next to my belly button because no one's ever going to see that," she said.
