Once again, Kmart will be marathoning through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend by staying open continuously from 6am on Thanksgiving to midnight on Black Friday. That's a 42-hour stretch of last-minute Thanksgiving buys blurring into Black Friday madness, which is one-hour longer than last year's 41-hour selling strategy. According to Chain Store Age, Kmart's parent company Sears will be changing up its strategy as well, pushing the opening time two hours earlier to 6pm to compete with other retailers doing the same.
