This week, YouTube fashion and beauty network StyleHaul announced it's officially a part of Europe's leading entertainment company, RTL Group. As a result, RTL Group poured $107 million dollars into StyleHaul, making RTL Group the company's majority stakeholder and pushing StyleHaul's total valuation just past $151 million. When StyleHaul put itself up for sale a couple months ago, Condé Nast and Hearst were reportedly among those vying for control of the hugely popular vlogging network.
According to a BizWomen report, StyleHaul's CEO Stephanie Horbaczewksi sees the opportunity as a way to tap into RTL Group's extensive entertainment resources. "The opportunity to fuse television and digital hasn't been tapped," Horbaczewski told BizWomen. "This is going to be an accelerant to all of the existing strategies I had." RTL Group produces hugely popular shows like The X Factor and The Price Is Right.
The company also plans to invest more time and money into its international endeavors. "You'll see us add more individuals in our global outlets, like Singapore and Brazil," Horbaczewski said. StyleHaul currently has one person running operations out of Singapore and reportedly plans to hire in Brazil in the future.
