Kimora Lee Simmons is putting her Baby Phat days behind her with the launch of a new grown-up fashion line, KLS Kimora Lee Simmons. Prices start at $500 for tops and run up to $2,400 for outerwear, and dresses are in the $1,200 to $2,200 range.
It's just a coincidence that Simmons' initials are so similar to YSL, but the KLS logo looks strikingly similar to the classic YSL monogram. Meanwhile, the KLS silhouettes are deliberately understated, especially compared to Baby Phat. "I'm not the same woman now. KLS isn't catering to a teenage audience or a young party girl. I'm a serious businesswoman," Simmons told WWD.
