Today, Racked Miami highlights Anatomy at 1220, a new over-the-top fitness temple in South Beach. The gym is owned by nightclub impresario Chris Paciello and former NFL player Marc Megna, and it works hard to outrank other fitness facilities at every turn. Amenities at Anatomy include a complimentary valet; an on-staff nutritionist; a hair salon; a nail salon; an IV lounge where members can get monthly infusions; an oxygen chamber; infared saunas, steam rooms and cold plunge pools; and, of course, a fitness facility outfitted with chandeliers.
"We offer training, membership training, one-on-one personal training, and group fitness training," says Megna. "We have a medical component that does every type of test you can think of to monitor your health, from body fat to VO2 max testing, blood work to food sensitivity testing."
But not just anyone can be a member of Anatomy at 1220. There's an application process and memberships must be approved by a nine-person committee. The committee "knows everyone in Miami," Megna asserts. "We want good energy here. Most people won't get shut out, but we want a really special group."
