Now we know just how many people buy the ultimate fail-safe present, a Starbucks gift card, each holiday season. Eater has the mind-blowing numbers, including the fact that one in every eight American adults received a Starbucks Card last holiday season. Last year, the coffee chain sold over two million cards on December 24. That's equal to "about 1,500 Starbucks cards per minute in their U.S. and Canadian stores." And Starbucks expects to sell even more cards this year.
If a regular old Starbucks gift card just won't do, consider this year's limited-edition sterling silver Starbucks card key chain. It's made of jewelry-quality 925 sterling silver and the Starbucks website says it is the the first precious metal Starbucks Card ever offered. It's still available online for $200, with $50 pre-loaded on the card.
