"Festivalwear"—the fringe things intended for Coachella weekends—has exploded as its own shopping season in the past few years, and trendy British e-tailer ASOS is armed and ready to outfit you from day to night. Within their spring 2015 lineup, the brand has zeroed in on the very specific need for festival eveningwear—essentially, minidresses and co-ords with a higher sparkle quotient than their daytime counterparts. Your first look at what, exactly, that means is in the spring lookbook below.
Womenswear
For day, ASOS goes heavy on the fringe, even ombré-ing it in one instance. Crochet also gets its time in the sun via mini dresses and crop tops (you're on your own to figure out those undergarments, though). Denim is done in a dusty medium wash, frayed and pre-holed, and there's a lot of the military influence we eyed on spring's runways: low-slung trousers, a boxy cropped button-up, and a jumpsuit are available in Army-approved olive drab.
To transition into evening, there's not one but two holographic mini skirts for your consideration, a sequined chevron co-ord, and a flouncy strapless dress in acid yellow lace. If there were ever a time and place to match your drugs to your clothes, this is it.
Accessories
There's absolutely no shortage of "statement" in ASOS's spring accessory lineup. Little cartoon faces show up on bags and even a faux fur stole, holograph materials cover sandals and drawstring backpacks, unicorns in silhouette are available on phone cases and a glitter bag. Daytime festival-goers may want to opt for the chunky (stable) flatform sandals and the flower-embellished fannypack for maximum "hands in the air" concert enjoyment.
For sexy nighttime parties, there are loads of high-heel pumps and sandals in the mix: printed, pom-pomed, and jeweled. Fringe resurges on a lavender crossbody and a clutch that looks like a confetti cake collided with a rave. If that's not your nighttime festival steeze, you may want to reconsider your spring plans.
