Betabrand, which takes apparel from prototype to online retail in just two months, told The Verge that their "dress pant yoga pants" have quickly become their top-selling item. The so-called office-appropriate yoga pants are even more popular than the "executive hoodies." If you haven't guessed it yet, the company is based in San Francisco.
Company founder and CEO Chris Lindland explained the yoga-pant-for-work crazy, saying, "Many women would wear yoga pants to do everything in life—even to get married—but they're sort of prohibited in workplaces. This product is going to challenge dress codes." While the yoga-for-weddings claim has yet to be verified, yes, generally, yoga pants are preferable in most life situations because they're not pants.
