Age-defying musician Pharrell Williams conquered the Grammy Awards red carpet this year with a simple outfit and a wild accessory: jeans, a red zip-up sweatshirt and an enormous mountie hat (pictured) by Vivienne Westwood that immediately won a place in the public's heart.
Today, Williams is using the hat's newly-found fame for a good cause, auctioning it on eBay to benefit From One Hand To Another, a charity organization he founded to bring a community center for kids to his hometown of Virginia Beach.
I'm giving up the Buffalo Hat I wore to the Grammy's™ to help underserved kids get the educational tools they need," he said. "Our organization, From One Hand to Another, is committed to bringing kids experiences that ignite their passions, challenge their minds and prepare them for success." Right now, the hat is at $10,500 with a little over nine days of auction time left.
