H&M threw an enormous runway show in Paris yesterday, debuting the new name for their "seasonal collection of key pieces": H&M Studio. Interestingly, fabrics in the fall/winter 2014 collection include silk crepe, silk satin, and cashmere—much finer options than the poly (and poly-blends) that populate most of of the fast fashion retailer's selection. The upgraded fabric calls to mind COS and & Other Stories, two H&M-owned brands that use higher end materials at, of course, a higher price point.
The look of the show was an easy-to-digest (and shop) feminine-meets-masculine aesthetic, pairing slip dresses with blazers, knee high boots with oversized shearlings. The line will be available in 250 stores worldwide, as well as the e-shop, come September 4th. Check out the collection—and the scene at the show—after the jump.
