Italian police discovered—wait for it—rat fur postering as cashmere in Chinese-run factories in Rome. They seized over a million counterfeit items across five locations. Don't worry, though, some of the rat fur was mixed in with acrylic and viscose?
Besides cashmere, fake merino lamb, silk and pashmina apparel were busted. The bogus goods were distributed by a wholesaler in the nearby Florence. Now 14 people are facing fraud charge and millions more are totally grossed out.
