Fashiontoast blogger Rumi Neely has always been open about her healthy eating habits. Take a recent breakfast as detailed on her Ask.fm page for example: It's the work of someone who really, truly loves smoothies and superfoods. "This morning I cooked oats that I soaked overnight with some almond milk and vanilla and sea salt," she writes, "blended that mixture with dried wild cherries, topped that with strawberry pureed with maca powder, then added sliced kiwis, hemp seeds, and some Purely Elizabeth granola."
The big-name fashion blogger recently met up with The New Potato in LA to talk food, her unconventional job, clothes and travel essentials. Neely, who routinely flies around the world for fashion shows or shoots, says that she likes to bring snacks on the plane and will occasionally even pack containers of cooked quinoa. She also says that her ideal food day begins with a "homemade almond milk latte" and a smoothie made of "spinach, strawberry, banana, coconut water, and almond." Thankfully, she lives in LA where the almond milk is plentiful and the restaurants, accommodating.
