Despite the fact that Urban Outfitters' CEO has publicly acknowledged that the brand has suffered through an inordinate amount of fashion misses lately, that didn't stop the green light on this St. Patrick's Day shirt, which isn't exactly trying to be fashion forward, but is trying to rustle up some controversy.
The brand isn't one to shy away from religious appropriation, as these Hindu God socks and this 'Auschwitz Chic' shirt can attest, but apparently the general outrage that ensued wasn't enough to stop the company from going at it again. Just in case there was any discrepancy on what the graphic was alluding to, the product caption reads: "Throw some back with the holy man himself in this epic tee!" Cue the collective face palm.
