Rania Abu-Eid, one of the head designers for Victoria's Secret's high end designer collections, will be joining Journelle and direct their first foray into a private label collection, due to be released during the 2014 holiday season.
Journelle's CEO Claire Chambers has been eager to design an in-house collection for the brand since it was launched in 2007 but has been waiting for the perfect opportunity before green-lighting the project. To test the waters, Journelle designed a small collection of silk PJs last year which turned into a huge success for the brand and gave Chambers the momentum she needed to get a private label collection up and running. There are no previews yet as to what the line will look like, but Chambers hinted that the aesthetic will be similar to that of Journelle's stores, finding a balance between feminine, modern, playful and provocative.
