Today, American denim company Levi Strauss announced that in a money-saving maneuver, it will lay off 800 staffers or close to 20% of its workforce. According to the WSJ, this will reduce management layers and eliminate duplicate roles and, with other initiatives, will save the company $175 to $200 million. [WSJ]
