The narrative that sprung up immediately after L'Wren Scott's suicide was that the designer had taken her life because her fashion business was in debt. This has since been denied by a representative for her label, who, on condition on anonymity, called the figures being bandied about "misleading," "inaccurate," "hurtful" and "disrespectful."
Today, the New York Post reports that per Scott's will, the former model was worth about $9 million at the time of her death—which she left exclusively to boyfriend Mick Jagger. "I give all my jewelry, clothing, household furniture and furnishings, personal automobiles and other tangible articles of a personal nature … to Michael Philip Jagger," it reads. Scott's assets included a Manhattan condo worth $8 million.
