Japanese budget brand Uniqlo has launched an arty collection with the help of The Museum of Modern Art. The line is comprised of 200 products inspired by artists including Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Jackson Pollock, and Ryan McGinness, a mix of new designs made in collaboration with living artists and MoMa Special Edition pieces based on works from the Museum's collection.
Called SPRZ NY (Surprise New York), the first round of product launches today with a splashy public event at the brand's New York City flagship, where they've redesigned the second floor with a gallery feel—and added an in-store Starbucks (oh how Warholian it all is).
Products—which include t-shirts, polo shirts, light jackets, bandanas, and tote bags—will be available at select stores worldwide, as well as online, with prices ranging from $5.90 to $49.90. Each item on the dedicated microsite corresponds with a piece from the Museum's collection, ensuring you get a dose of knowledge alongside your cotton fix.
