What’s your worst shopping habit?
I’m sure I don’t have any idea what you’re talking about. (But actually, I do have a tendency to stock up on multiple versions of a highly specific piece of clothing when one would do just fine.)
What's the worst uniform or dress code rule you've had to follow in a job?
I did work at one spot that specifically forbade blue jeans but made no mention of other denim colors. That always seemed completely arbitrary and ridiculous to me. O

Which trend do you really like, and which would you never be caught dead trying?
I like the menswear inspired, boyish charm trend – skinny tailored jeans, boyfriend tees and denim button–ups. I’ll pass on pastels and floral prints.
What do you splurge on, and what do you cheap out on?
Splurge on shoes and denim, cheap out on handbags.
What's the worst uniform or dress code rule you've had to follow in a job?
Pantsuits all day, every day.
What was your worst fashion faux pas?
I still wear clogs a lot. Triumph of comfort over fashion.

Men are picky!
What's the worst uniform or dress code rule you've had to follow in a job?
I haven’t really had dress code restrictions for work thankfully, but I think going to military school and having to wear a uniform for four years was enough.

There is a lot of analysis, research and flat dumb luck that turns into a successful or non-successful item.

Patrik Ervell—I just can’t seem to own enough of what he designs.
Which trend do you really like, and which would you never be caught dead trying?
I really like to see the crew neck sweatshirt getting so much love lately. It’s a simple, comfortable staple that’s being re-imagined and elevated with mixed te

I worked as a waiter at my parent’s restaurant for most of my teenage years and I remember having to wear this oversized short sleeve oxford button up with a pair of
What are your favorite stores to shop at and why?
One of my favorites is a chain in Japan called Tokyo Hands. Every floor of the monolith, multi-level stores is dedicated to life’s daily essentials such as kitchen utensils, stationary, or c
What have you learned at East Dane about the fashion industry that you wouldn’t have known otherwise?
I have learned that even the most diligent and tech savviest of men are resistant to returning online purchases. Reasons vary, but the one
East Dane is e-comm giant Shopbop's answer to menswear, launched last year with a similar full-closet approach: Categories from innerwear to outerwear, brands from standby to designer, a mix of essentials and It pieces.
We caught up with the (surprisingly tiny) team behind the effort at their New York City office for a peak into their world—and what they wear to work. The industrial office space is topped with a killer roof deck and the crew was dressed, naturally, in favorites from the site (even the girls managed to work in some East Dane-available pieces). Click through for a look at their office style, hear what it's like selling to men, and find out where the the stylish team shops when they aren't ordering from their own site.
