European accessories brand Etienne Aigner will launch ready-to-wear and shoes for fall as part of a larger brand reinvigoration. The company's North and South American presence was bought in 2011 and the new owners have been working to reestablish the brand on this side of the pond. Handbags were relaunched for spring 2013—Eva Chen regularly Instagrams her Etienne Aigner monogramed clutches—and a New York store was opened late summer. In Europe, the company has always produced accessories and apparel.
Heading up design efforts from the New York studio is creative director Daniela Anastasio Bardazzi who comes from Isaac Mizrahi and Michael Kors. The clothing is produced in Italy, and includes outwear, dresses, and separates. Etienne Aigner is targeting stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor and Bergdorf Goodman, and is expected to share floor space with brands like Vince, Theory and Burberry Brit. The first delivery should hit shops mid-July.
