Jen Selter, Belfie Queen, Endorses FitMiss Supplements

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Even though just one week ago Jen Selter captioned a particularly ab-tastic photo, "There's no magic pill. No special shake. No secret Diet. Just get off your butt!," the newly famous backside on the internet has signed on a multi-year contract with MusclePharm Corporation, purveyor of fitness powders, capsules, tablets and gels. It's her second contract since her butt broke Instagram, the first being a CIRRUS Fitness collaboration.

Selter will be the face and body of FitMiss, a brand of nutritional supplements promising that it's "dosed and formulated specifically for women." Its roster of products includes diet and appetite control supplements, mood enhancers and energy packs.

It's notable, however, that her official statement is directed more toward the overarching marketing slogan rather than the health benefits of the supplement. She says, "I totally agree with FitMiss' 'Strong is the New Sexy' message and the company's need to create a space for women in the fitness and training world. I am excited to join the FitMiss team and look forward to motivating and educating women on how they can maximize the full potential of their bodies."

Also, she plans to offer free, healthy recipes, workouts and tips, rounding out a more of a lifestyle approach to fitness, rather than solely peddle diet pills.
