Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Joe Biden posted his first Instagram today under the account name "VP" (at least it's easy to remember) and it features a well-placed pair of Ray-Bans in the foreground and Biden getting work done in the background. What does this mean? Why does this also look like an ad for Ray-Bans? Why did Biden get an Instagram account? None of these things have been addressed but, as explained in the caption, the more important thing to know is that there will be more aviator pics to come. You've been warned.
