Good news for fans of internet preservation and DailyCandy's local recommendations and guides: NBCUniversal has confirmed that DailyCandy and Television Without Pity's archived content will live on even after the two sites shutter on April 4. All of it will continue to exist on DailyCandy.com though the site won't update.
NBC reports that the decision was based on the general outrage over the site going dark that was expressed over social media. The company is hoping a living archive will mollify at least part of the shock and anger that DC's shuttering has inspired in its fans.
