Can Steven Alan Make Dr. Scholl's Cool?

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Retail sage Steven Alan has lent a little of his New York City minimal-cool to comfort footwear brand Dr. Scholl's in a surprising-but-not-that-surprising-because-normcore shoe collab. The styles—one unisex and two for the girls—are "a contemporary take on the iconic Dr. Scholl's Shoes wooden exercise sandal," informs the press release. The limited edition offerings retail for $100 to $145 and are online and in stores now.
