It's been coming slowly. Over last summer, Vogue.com was taken over. It was all cats, all the time for a whole week. Then there was the brief discovery of and discourse on normcore. Then there was a slideshow that answered the question "what if Frozen had fashion?" The Buzzfeed-ification of the aspiration mag's digital arm was nearly complete.
And now we've reached the apex of B-ogue: Grumpy Cat, real name Tardar Sauce. Eons past the cat's meme pinnacle, he arrived in its hallowed halls and appeared on Instagram. The only Vogue-ish thing about the entire matter is that Sauce was shot in the arms of Grace Coddington, known longtime cat enthusiast. This is clear evidence of how far apart digital is from print at legacy mags. Then again, we have the curious case of Kim Kardashian to contend with.
