Is collab-happy skate brand Supreme teaming up with mass suiting retailer Brooks Brothers?! Esquire noticed an Instagram from @mrjagger_, who they cite as the Supreme London store manager, showing a print editorial of a seersucker jacket with both Supreme and Brooks Brothers labels (you know, the ones you're supposed to take off after purchase, but left on are cheeky in that hip hop hat sticker way, which seems aptly Supreme). There's no caption, just a tag to @sleezecode (a private account) and two Emojis: The explosion and the bullseye.
Update April, 10 2014 at 9:00: Confirmation achieved! Supreme spoke with WWD about the collaboration, which consists of a slim seersucker suit that will be sold exclusively at Supreme. It lands next week and you'll have to wait for pricing info, since both companies are being tight-lipped about it.
Glen Hoffs, Brooks Brothers' fashion director, told WWD, "Supreme was looking for something that was iconic to Brooks Brothers and they thought that their customers were sophisticated enough for a nice suit. We thought that it was perfect because the fabric is so loved—it was introduced in the 1920s by Brooks Brothers."
