In case you missed the internet today, footage was somehow obtained by TMZ showing Solange Knowles, sister to Beyoncé Knowles and celebrity musician in her own right, attacking Yoncé's husband Jay Z for an unknown reason (The Standard hotel is looking into how the surveillance video was released). Solange commented via Twitter today, but later took the Tweet down. It read:
The Tweet didn't address reasons for the fight, but naturally, theories abound. See below.
The Cheating Theory (Women)
"There have been many rumors swirling that Jay has cheated on Bey many times. There were rumors that he messed around with Rhianna, Adrienne Bailon, some other random woman told a story that she was hit on by him, oh and Gweneth Paltrow [sic]. Also a rumor that he once told Swizz Beats that, 'cheating was one thing, doing it out in the open so it becomes public is a no-no' (or something close to that).
The fact that Beyonce is standing there, not defending Jay nor is she asking her sister to calm down, seems very telling to me. As if Solange is coming to her sister's defense... That much appears obvious to me.—via Gawker
The Cheating Theory (Men)
The Cheating Is Irrelevant Theory
One of Many #WhatJayZSaidtoSolange Theories:
The This-Goes-Way-Back Theory
"Solange watched Bey's dad, Matt Knowles, abuse their family with sex and booze/drug addictions while forcing them into show biz from the onset of their lives. Solange is lashing out that Jay is creating that same atmosphere and that her sister is buying into it, well because she gets to have a billion dollar life style. Which is pretty hard to pass up once you smell, kiss and touch it. So all these media outlets will comment on all this fucking gossip and blazayeh blah, but the fact of the matter is if you've never had 462 million dollars in the bank, you ain't never know what it's like to have 462 million dollars in the bank...
I realize this is a random ass internet comment, but the above is really the accurate truth as I see it from someone I know, who is pretty close to the throne."—via Gawker
The Conspiracy Theory
The footage of Jay Z and Solange fighting is just a really clever way to get dumb people to watch a silent, black and white film.— Gonzalo Cordova (@GonzaloRCordova) May 12, 2014
