Google has finally opened up public sales for Glass, the new technology that launched a thousand think pieces, a new term (the Glasshole) and at least one San Francisco bar fight.
The price for the beta version of Glass has been set at $1,500, a mere pittance when you consider all the value that Glass can add to your life. For instance, you can take a photo with it instead of using your smartphone, or a video. You can send messages—again, instead of using your smartphone. You can look at maps and play music. Or you could just use your phone for all of those things. What's the point of this $1,500 gadget again?
Sign up right here to purchase Glass, which is currently available in four light titanium frames (prescription or no prescription) and five colors: charcoal (out of stock), tangerine, cotton, shale and sky.
