Lupita Is Straight-Up Mesmerizing on Sesame Street Mexico

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Among her many skills, actress Lupita Nyong'o is fluent in four languages. The Mexican-born star guested on Latin America's version of Sesame Street, Plaza Sésamo, recently and even if you speak not one lick of Spanish, you must watch it.

Colorlines translates the spot. "Hello, I'm Lupita, today I want us to celebrate smile day," she says. "Do you know how laugh? Why don't we laugh together? Ready, 1, 2, 3!" Can someone make a loop of this? We could watch it all afternoon.
