Model Miranda Kerr has been the subject of tabloid speculation ever since she publicly split with husband Orlando Bloom. But the intensity of the coverage deepened recently thanks to remarks made by Kerr's family in Australia—among them, that fame has "stolen" Miranda from them. "Miranda's life is so different now [and] she's surrounded by 'yes' people all the time. It's so important for me to be real, to be true, to be who she needs me to be," said her mother.
The model addressed the issue in an interview with Australia's "most popular brekky show," Sunrise, a few days ago. The moment happens at the 3:40 mark. In response to questions from Sunrise's hosts, Kerr said, " "It is what it is, you can't really change what happened," adding, "I don't think there was any ill intention, put it that way." She says that she's since reconciled with her family and had already spent time with them in Sydney.
