The secret of what exactly Kim and Kanye did on their honeymoon in Cork, Ireland has been revealed: they spent most of their time photoshopping wedding photos for Instagram. So said Kanye, who explained that the photos needed work because major fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz—who shot the duo's Vogue cover—pulled out of shooting their wedding at the last minute. Kanye said that it took him four days over his honeymoon to get the image of their first kiss in front of that wall of flowers just right.
Because Annie pulled out, I was like, "Okay, I still want my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz," and we sat there and worked on that photo for, like, four days because the flowers were off-color...Let me tell you something about that kiss photo that my girl put up … this was pissing my girl off during the honeymoon, she was exhausted because we worked on the photo so much because Annie Leibovitz pulled out right before the wedding. I think that she was, like, scared of the idea of celebrity.Page Six notes that the image currently ranks as the most-liked photo on Instagram, with more than 1.93 million likes, so all that photoshopping certainly paid off. What can we say, the man's a perfectionist.
