Business Insider estimated that over $4 trillion will be lost in abandoned online shopping carts this year. In 2013, as many as 74% of all online shopping carts were abandoned. But, good news, we're easily wooed by those pesky 'you forgot something!' emails. BI found that there was a 40% open rate and 20% click-through rate for retargeted emails sent within three hours of cart abandonment. [BI]
