Tour dates for Lena Dunham's forthcoming memoir, Not That Kind of Girl, were just released on the Dunham's website, which, if you've never visited it, is very pink and adorable. The fun kicks off in Manhattan on September 30 featuring guest comedian Amy Schumer. Of course, it wouldn't be a Lena Dunham book tour without at least one Girls cast member appearance—Jemima Kirke will be at the Brooklyn stop and showrunner Jenni Konner will be joining Dunham in Chicago. She also nabbed Carrie Brownstein of Portlandia to make a guest appearance during her tour stop in Portland. The tour will make the rounds through Boston, LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Pasadena, Iowa City, and Austin throughout the month of October.
Dunham also put out an open call for opening acts at seven out of the 11 tour stops. She's accepting video submissions of three to five minute talent acts to possibly be performed at each reading. If you're on the fence about submitting something, just think: Is there a more perfect place than Lena Dunham's book tour to perform that weird spoon slinging talent you perfected back in sixth grade? Probably not.
