Rushing a sorority can be a daunting process. At most schools, it's like the Olympics of socializing at the pace of speed dating and with the intensity of a job interview. Hopefuls must prove they can carry a conversation, have interests and are not psychotic all in about an hour, if they're lucky. They're not only judged on looks, but also demeanor, poise, that somethin' somethin'—all the while wondering, "could anyone here be my new best friend who also might haze me a teeny-tiny bit?" Also hundreds of other girls are attempting the same feat.
What does one wear through such a process? How can one even prepare for such challenges?
Racked sought the advice of one sorority expert, Margaret Abrams, a bonafide sorority graduate who's writings appear on Total Sorority Move and Post Grad Problems. Learn crucial tips such as what to wear, what not to wear, and how this isn't your mother's rush.
