Vogue's calling it: hand painting is now a trend. This isn't your regular mehndi (though it's pretty clearly inspired by the South Asian custom); there are faces and dipped body parts and rings. Does that mean we're all going to start walking around with eyes painted on our hands? Don't write it off too quickly. Vogue culled together semi-recent Instagrams from model Jourdan Dunn, foreign actress Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, two unnamed girls, Lorde, and Thom Browne and Adam Selman's FW14 beauty looks to announce the new "global phenomenon" of hand painting. Get the confusion out now, but give it a few months and we'll probably all be paying art students to draw rings of paint on our knuckles.
