Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

FashionToast blogger Rumi Neely has parted ways with Condé Nast-owned blogger hosting network NowManifest. The blogger gave no reason for the split on her site other than "it felt like time."

Neely joined NowManifest in 2011, before the network was bought by Condé Nast. When ownership changed and the publishing giant took over in May 2012, the deal reportedly was made without consulting Neely or any other bloggers in the network. Other high profile NowManifest bloggers such as BryanBoy and Sea of Shoes are still part of the network.
